the milk crate is the ultimate storage module. in oregon, it is as common an element on a bicycle as a chain. your parents garage? full of milk crates. your neighborhood plumber’s ford transit? full of milk crates. the back alleyway behind winco? full of milk crates - and that is exactly where these particular crates were procured from. is that legal? no idea, but nobody seems to be stopping anyone else.

now instead of said crates sitting on your fathers hdx shelves filled with 16 different motor oils and your grade school baseball mit that you used for one season and made your dad cry; it is the shelf. these crates are aggregated together to make a cast poly monolith garbed in umpqua dairy red; combined with 12ga metal plates, one countersunk, the other threaded. held together by 1/4-20 flat heads, and apart by tube steel spacers. all resting on mid century modern oak legs.

because thats funny.

so basically… it is a stack of milk crates.
