vessel i

sometimes, you go in simply to just make an object. this one in one view looks like clay, another, a womans torso. none of this was legitimately thought out, but it became versatile with thought afterwards, not thought prior. something i need to do more often… just make something.

this is a vessel made from an apple burl i found in my grandfathers shop. he obtained them from a random guy in glens falls, ny who had them screwed to his fence as ornament. hence, the naval of the woman which is not a void of a nutrional link… but of a t25 construction screw.
